to stay or not to stay.... this has been this weekends big question

the big topic of conversation this weekend between jp and I has been whether our current apartment is right for us and whether or not we should begin looking for another.  something slightly bigger with a second bedroom

i think the big thing for us is a lack of storage space.  we downsized so much when we were relocating from Ottawa to Toronto and yet, it feels as though we kept everything.  no matter how savy we are with our limited space, our saviness is never savy enough

so although we would like to move, we're not sure it's the right thing for us to do at present.   we LOVE our neighborhood.   deep LOVE friends.  we're close to 3 hwys, on the subway line, we're in driving distance of 3 grocery stores, 2 of which we really love.  we have this unbelievable (not really unbelievable), but great stretch of shops, cafe's, pubs, restaurants and fruit & veg markets (which if you know me, is a necessity), not to mention my favorite bakery.  we're also in walking distance from a number of parks (one of which has a mini zoo - bonus!) and we love the buildings and homes that surround us.  ohhh let me not forget moksha across the street and the pilates studio and david's tea.... really i could go on......

so the idea of relocating is really gahhh.. just really not a pleasant one.  unless of course, it's in the same neighborhood and in a very similar style building

SO...

with deciding to stay put, (which is what I think we've decided on) we're thinking of repainting.  i know, i know... it's always about repainting with me.  i think i'm ok with the kitchen.  and i've just ordered a Toronto neighborhoods poster from ork posters to add a little something something.

we got it in brown and gold!  high school colors my friends :)

once i receive it, i think i'll have it framed and place it above our kitchen table.  this leaves me with one wall to find something for and the possibility of another ikea grundtal shelf above this picture to sit my collection of interior design magazines

if staying is what we've truly decided on, the kitchen is only the beginning
